From Inverness

Following the A9 south to the south exit into Aviemore.

Turn right at junction and proceed for approx. 5 miles to Kincraig.

At the church hall junction turn left on B970, over bridge, past Loch Insh and turn right at next junction - signposted Insh.

Proceed for approx 3 miles into the village of Insh.

Pass the little white church and you will see a large timber house on the left behind the church.

200 yards on is an opening on the left opposite Greenfield Croft.

Turn sharp right round  and up the drive to Birch Cabin (our home).

Little Birch Cabin and The Old Log Shed are accessed by driving in front of the big house and garage and up a small drive. 

 

From the south

Follow the A9 north to the 2nd Kingussie turn-off (on left).

Drive through Kingussie past the shops to the Duke of Gordon Hotel on the right.

Turn left opposite the hotel on B970 marked Insh and Lagganlia, over the railway crossing and proceed for approx. 5 miles to the village of Insh.

Drive through the village past the telephone box and you will see a large house (Greenfield Croft) on your left.

Directly opposite is our driveway.

Turn sharp right and sharp left parallel to the main road
