Kate’s little cabin is a delightful, clean, comfortable, gorgeous little place and we will definitely be booking again.  Kate is so friendly and her jam is delicious.  The wildlife is fabulous with the badgers turning up nightly between 10.30. and 11.10 munching away on peanut butter sandwiches.  We also saw hare, squirrel, woodpecker, bank vole to name but a few.

We’ve had such a lovely week!  The Old Log Shed is cosy, clean and comfortable and the badgers are amazing.  The perfect location to explore this incredible part of the  world – from blackthroated divers to pine martins and crossbills, crestd tits, ospreys and dotterel.  Thank you so much.  We will be back for sure.  Breakfast at ‘Cheese and Tomatin’ and beer at the Old Bridge Inn, Aviemore.

Another great week and our first time up here in summer, giving us the opportunity to watch the birds feeding each evening or the squirrel hi-jacking the feeders.  Has allowed us to do a completely different set of activities including boating on Lock Insh and swimming in Loch Morlich.  Thanks for the kind welcome as always and for making all the covet safe arrangements so that we were able to have the break here.

What a wonderful week!  Such a beautiful setting and a wonderful cosy, welcoming place to spend the week.  Pheasants, red squirrels, badger, a variety of birds on the feeder and Mr Hare who spent hours pottering around the lawn!   Magical!   So many things to do and see with fabulous walks, views, cafes and a trip to Loch Garden where coal tits will feed from your hand is a must for wildlife lovers!!!  Wish we were staying longer.  Love it!  Thank you Kate for making our holiday so lovely and for the very tasty gooseberry jam.  Had a fantastic time.

It is always a treat to return to The Old Log Shed.  The weather has been mixed but we still managed good walks every day and enjoyed coming back here to the cosy cottage.  Saw a variety of birds, squirrels and the resident hare but no badger this time.   Had a lovely lunch at The Old Post Office & Gallery at Kincraig.   Well worth a visit.  Thank you, Kate and Ross, for your warm welcome and also the gooseberry jam.   See you next year!
