Little Birch Cabin and The Old Log Shed are situated in Insh, a short distance
from Kingussie. The timber chalets are set in a peaceful garden
with natural forest stretching into Glenfeshie and the mountains.
Take a walk into the forest for one hour or a day!
The Insh Marshes, a popular spot for bird-watching, is accessible from
Insh Village.

Insh is an ideal touring base with good road access to
the west (Isle of Skye), the north (Inverness, Dornoch, Wick and Thurso),
the east (Balmoral, Tomintoul - the highest village in the Highlands,The
Lecht)
and the south (Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth)
We
are only 2.5 hrs from Edinburgh and Glasgow
10 miles from Aviemore where there is access to the Cairngorm mountains
and Loch Morlich
and 40 miles from Inverness
There are excellent links by train (from Kingussie) and air (from
Inverness) to the south.
The overnight train also stops in Kingussie
Walking, ski-ing, orienteering, climbing, fishing, bird watching on the
Insh Marshes, and golf can all be enjoyed within a 20 mile distance of
